Eight Punjab Teachers Selected for National Award

According to the latest news, eight Punjab teachers were selected for national award, which will be given on Teachers Day and also five from Himachal Pradesh, three from Chandigarh and four from Jammu and Kashmir are selected for these prestigious awards.
President of India, Pratibha Patil will give these awards to these teachers on Sep 5th, 2010, during the function at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
In Punjab, primary school teacher’s category, Amarjit Kaur, Mohali and in secondary school teacher’s category Kusum Lata, Amar Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Sarabjeet Kaur Sohal, Ashwani Kumar and Santosh Kumar Gautam are the members who has selected for these national awards.
