Punjabi University to spend Rs 5 Crore on sports infrastructure

Punjabi University, Patiala plans to invest Rs. 5 Crore to develop sports infrastructure in the country. This news was announced by the Punjabi University Vice Chancellor, Dr. Jaspal Singh in the Gagandeep Kaur, who won the Bronze Medal in Commonwealth, appreciations function.
He also said, The Punjabi University will soon have a multipurpose gymnasium and a fitness centre. The chancellor admits that they will provide the rewards for the National and International university players and coaches. He said that the coaches play a very important role in making player a medal winner.
The university student, Gagandeep Kaur was awarded with the 2 lakh rupees cheque by the Dr. Jaspal Singh. Dr. Jaspal Singh said, “Gagandeep had not only made her family proud but university and whole nation is proud of her achievement”
