Rajma Masala Recipe

Rajma Masala is served with rice and it is usually called as Rajma chawal. This is very good for health as we can use red kidney beans for this preparation. Soak rajma means red kidney beans are washed and place in water through out the night. We can prepare this with in 20-25min.
Components:
1. 1 cup rajma (red kidney beans)
2. 1 tsp oil
3. 2 green chilies (slit)
4. 2 onions (finely chopped)
5. 1/2 tsp red chili powder
6. 2 tsp coriander powder
7. salt to taste
8. 1″ piece ginger (finely chopped)
9. 2 tomatoes
10. 1 tbsp chopped cilantro
11. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
12. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
13. 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
Rajma Masala Preparation:
Soak rajma (red kidney beans) are washed and place in water through out the night and wait for up to 2 whistles of pressure cook. Now, you can heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When they splutter, add onions and fry till golden brown color upturn. Then add ginger and green chillies and saute for few seconds
Now, you can add the tomatoes and cook till mushy. After that, add coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder and saute for few more seconds. Then add boiled rajma along with the boiled water and bring it to a boil.
Now add salt and garam masala powder, cover and cook on a medium flame till everything blends together (10-15 min). Serve hot with rice or roti.
