Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji 406th Anniversary celebrations

The 406th anniversary of the ‘Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji’ are celebrated by the Sikhs on Septmber 1st 2010. On this day in 1604 AD that the Guru was first installed at Harimandir Sahib in Amritsar, Punjab.
It was written in the 6th scholar Bhai Guru Das ji by the fifth Sikh Guru Sri Guru Arjan Devi ji. The holly book mostely called as “Pothi Parmeshwar”. It contained in 30 Raghas hymns of the first five Sikh Gurus, 15 bhagats, 11 bhats and 3 Sikhs.
The holy book “Pothi Parmeshwar” gave clear message to the GOD, truth and truthful living. The holy book also gives the universal brotherhood for the entire mankind.
The Present “Guru Granth Sahib” book was re-written by the 10th Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji in 1708A.D. and he included the hymns of the 9th Sikh Guru Sri Guru Tegh Bahardur ji who also used the 31st Raghas, the “Jai Jai Wanti”.
