Punjab Government Bans Tobacco Products at Schools

The Punjab government bans the selling of tobacco products near schools. According to the new rules, the tobacco selling shops should maintain minimum radius of 100 meters distance from the schools.
It was also mentioned that no student, teacher, staff and any person, who visited school should not smoke. The director general of school education has issued these guidelines to all education officers and heads of schools in the state.
These rules are introduced to launch the campaign against the use of tobacco and its products in the country.
